The LiteFlite Hang Glider Chest Tow Release is the simplest type of tow release available.  It utilises a small piece of aluminium tube which is slid along the fabric bridle to release a parachute hook pin. 

The kit consists of the release mechanism and a Spectra rope bridle.  The release mechanism is mounted to one side of the harness near the chest and the Spectra bridle is attached to the other side of the harness near the chest.  A weak link should be used to attach either or both the release mechanism and bridle.

The advantages of the system are that it is very compact and therefore easily stowed, very light, and the weaklink can be used multiple times as it does not wear out.
